Super Eagles' Leon Balogun targets quick return from injury

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun is confident of getting back to action as soon as possible after his club doctors assessed his latest injury setback.
Balogun lasted just 10 minutes on the pitch during Saturday’s game between Mainz and Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
The German-born Nigerian defender said while he is not happy with his latest injury he will take solace in the fact that he won’t be away for too long.
“Not delighted about my injury at all! It's part of the game though. Good thing about it, I'll be back real soon” Balogun twitted via his official handle on Monday.

On their part, Mainz through their official website on Monday revealed that Balogun will miss at least the next two games for the club.
“The centre-back had to be substituted just ten minutes into the game and will miss the upcoming Europa League fixture against Gabala FC, as well as the weekend’s Bundesliga game against VfL Wolfsburg.” The statement read.
It is not clear if Balogun who has been diagnosed of a muscle strain will be considered fit enough for the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifying match away to Zambia by next weekend.
